New Jersey Schedule of Automobile Insurance Eligibility Points

In the state of New Jersey, traffic violations are assigned “points” by the Motor Vehicle Collision (MVC). These are designed to penalize drivers for unsafe behaviors. Accumulating points can lead to numerous undesirable outcomes, including license suspension. There is a parallel system used by insurance companies within the state. Authorized insurance eligibility points are listed in the N.J.A.C. 11:3-34 Appendix. The Schedule of Automobile Insurance Eligibility Points is also in the two tables below.
