Court sessions at the Elizabeth Municipal Court are held in two separate court rooms. If you are solely charged with a traffic offense, more likely then not, your hearing shall take place at 208 Commerce Place, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth, New Jersey. However, if you are charged with a disorderly persons offense under New Jersey Criminal code (a.k.a. 2c offense) then your court session shall take place at One Police Plaza, 1st Floor, Elizabeth, NJ. A trick in discerning where you need to be is on the Court notice itself (if the Court Notice indicates room 0002 then that is code for Police Plaza, however if the Court Notice indicates room 0003 then that is code for 208 Commerce Place 2nd floor).
