Rahway Municipal Court

There are 530 Municipal Courts in New Jersey, in which are filed 6.5 million cases each year. These cases generally fall into three categories: minor criminal offenses (like simple assault and writing bad checks), violations of municipal ordinances (like dogs barking and building code violations), and traffic and speeding tickets. Sometimes, more serious criminal cases are filed in a Municipal Court at first, but they are eventually referred to County Superior Courts instead. Each court only handles cases that occurred within the boundaries of the city or town served by the court. Because New Jersey Municipal Courts have jurisdiction over the most common types of cases, if you experience the New Jersey legal system, either as a defendant, a victim, or a witness, it will probably be through a Municipal Court.

If you have been accused of a traffic violation, call (908) 248-4404 to schedule a free consultation with New Jersey traffic ticket lawyer Dan Matrafajlo. He has years of experience defending drivers in the Rahway Municipal Court, as well as the Elizabeth Municipal Court, the Newark Municipal Court, and the Linden Municipal Court.
